Nine groups of young people from across the UK won a prestigious Philip Lawrence Award in 2007.
Sir Trevor McDonald presented the awards in a ceremony at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London on 4 December 2007.
The winning groups come from as far afield as Northern Ireland, Scotland, Dorset and London. They have developed projects in their communities that forge positive relationships and new understandings between generations, provide support for those in need, and create spaces for young people over which they can feel ownership, meet new people, and develop their skills in enjoyable, positive ways.
