Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

The Kosovars in Barrow have been united as a group for just over a year. They came together to confront prejudices associated with racial diversity and the stigma surrounding refugees. Six young people from Kosovo wanted to break down barriers by bringing together a community that was not very familiar with different races.

The main aim of the group was to increase cultural understanding through the creation of a bi-lingual magazine, assisted by funding from The Prince’s Trust.
