Project Winners
Each year The Philip Lawrence Awards reward outstanding achievements in good citizenship by young people aged 11 to 20.
Since 1997 over 100 groups have received a Philip Lawrence Award. The winners from 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 are listed in the menu on the right. The scheme has supported over 1,000 young people in the UK who are actively initiating, developing and delivering programmes of work to enhance their lives and the lives of others.
Sir Trevor McDonald, chair of the Philip Lawrence Awards judging panel, said: “Each year, I am amazed by the determination of so many young people to improve their own lives and the lives of those around them. This year’s Award winners come from across the country and have contributed in many different ways – but they share a common purpose, to make their communities a better place, and in this, they are an inspiration to us all."
